Selank (TP-7) is a synthetic heptapeptide developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Moscow. It extends the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with Pro-Gly-Pro for enzymatic stability.

Selank Structure and Identifiers

Name Selank
Synonyms TP-7
CAS number 129954-34-3
PubChem CID 11765600
Molecular formula C33H57N11O9
Molecular weight ≈751.9 g/mol
Sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro
Form Lyophilized powder

Tuftsin Origin

Tuftsin is a tetrapeptide fragment of the IgG heavy chain. Selank keeps tuftsin’s sequence and adds the protease-resistant Pro-Gly-Pro motif also used in Semax.

Published Research Areas

Purity Testing and Storage

Every lot of Selank supplied by Cleared Peptides is tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity (or composition, for multi-component preparations), and the lot Certificate of Analysis is published on our COA page. Store lyophilized Selank at −20 °C, sealed, dry and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening and minimize freeze–thaw cycles. Handle according to your institution’s chemical-hygiene procedures.
