LC216 is an aqueous research blend. This page names the components and a published biochemical pathway for each one.
Component names match the product record. A CAS number is included only when the named chemical form has a public registry entry. Pathway notes describe published biochemistry. They are not statements of benefit or use.
Components
| Component | CAS number | Published biochemical note |
|---|---|---|
| L-Carnitine | 541-15-1 | Described as a carrier in the transfer of long-chain fatty acyl groups across the inner mitochondrial membrane, in the β-oxidation pathway. |
| L-Arginine | 74-79-3 | A substrate of nitric oxide synthase and an intermediate of the urea cycle in published enzyme pathways. |
| Methionine | 63-68-3 | A sulfur amino acid that is a methyl source in the S-adenosylmethionine transmethylation pathway. |
| Inositol | 87-89-8 (myo-inositol) | A cyclitol in phosphatidylinositol membrane-lipid pathways. |
| Choline | Salt form is lot-specific. CAS is not stated here. | A precursor of phosphatidylcholine in published phospholipid pathways, and a participant in one-carbon metabolism. |
| Pyridoxine (B6) | 65-23-6 for pyridoxine. The hydrochloride salt is a different CAS. | Converted in enzyme pathways to pyridoxal 5′-phosphate, a cofactor for amino-acid transamination and decarboxylation. |
| Dexpanthenol (B5) | 81-13-0 | A pantothenic-acid precursor that is incorporated into coenzyme A in published cofactor pathways. |
| Methylcobalamin (B12) | 13422-55-4 | A cobalamin cofactor of methionine synthase in the published methylation cycle. |
Solubility of the finished aqueous blend is a property of that formulation and is not given a single public figure here. See the lot COA.

Other names
LC216 is the Cleared Peptides catalog name for this aqueous blend. It is not one peptide. Carnitine, arginine, methionine, inositol, choline, pyridoxine, dexpanthenol, and methylcobalamin are separate chemicals.
Published pathways for the components
The notes below describe published enzyme pathways for the named chemicals. They are not studies of this blend as one substance, and they are not statements of benefit or use.
L-Carnitine (CAS 541-15-1) is described as the carrier for long-chain fatty acyl groups across the inner mitochondrial membrane. L-Arginine (CAS 74-79-3) is a nitric oxide synthase substrate and a urea-cycle intermediate. Methionine (CAS 63-68-3) is a methyl source for S-adenosylmethionine. Methylcobalamin (CAS 13422-55-4) is a cobalamin cofactor of methionine synthase in that same published methylation cycle. Pyridoxine (CAS 65-23-6) is converted toward pyridoxal 5′-phosphate, the cofactor used by amino-acid transaminases; the hydrochloride salt is a different CAS number.
Dexpanthenol (CAS 81-13-0) is a pantothenic-acid precursor that published routes incorporate into coenzyme A. Myo-inositol (CAS 87-89-8) is the cyclitol in phosphatidylinositol. Choline’s salt is lot-specific and is left unnamed as a CAS number here. See the L-carnitine guide and the SHB blend guide for the arginine and carnitine rows those pages share.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is LC216 one compound?
No. LC216 is a catalog code for a blend. Use the component CAS numbers, not a single number for the bottle.
How is LC216 different from SHB?
Both are multi-component research blends. LC216’s table includes methionine, methylcobalamin, pyridoxine, and dexpanthenol. SHB’s table includes ornithine, citrulline, lysine, glutamine, proline, taurine, and N-acetylcysteine. Compare the component tables rather than the catalog codes.
Is LC216 for human use?
No. It is supplied for laboratory research use only and is not for human or veterinary use.
