Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10, metastin 45–54) is the C-terminal decapeptide shared by all kisspeptins encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is the shortest fragment with full agonist activity at the kisspeptin receptor KISS1R (GPR54).

Discovery
KISS1 was first identified as a metastasis-suppressor gene, and its peptide product was named metastin. In 2001 several groups identified the orphan receptor GPR54 as its receptor. The C-terminal RF-amide motif is essential for receptor activation.

Purity Testing and Storage
Every lot of Kisspeptin-10 supplied by Cleared Peptides is tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity (or composition, for multi-component preparations), and the lot Certificate of Analysis is published on our COA page. Store lyophilized Kisspeptin-10 at −20 °C, sealed, dry and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening and minimize freeze–thaw cycles. Handle according to your institution’s chemical-hygiene procedures.
