AOD-9604 is a synthetic 16-residue peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region (residues 177–191) of human growth hormone with an additional N-terminal tyrosine. It was designed to study the activity of this hGH region independently of the full hormone.

Structure
The two cysteines (Cys182 and Cys189 in hGH numbering) can form an intramolecular disulfide, reproducing a loop present in the native hormone. The fragment does not contain the hGH receptor-binding sites, which is why it is used in fragment-based structure–function studies.

Purity Testing and Storage
Every lot of AOD-9604 supplied by Cleared Peptides is tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity (or composition, for multi-component preparations), and the lot Certificate of Analysis is published on our COA page. Store lyophilized AOD-9604 at −20 °C, sealed, dry and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening and minimize freeze–thaw cycles. Handle according to your institution’s chemical-hygiene procedures.
